Notes

2/2/2023 - Brew Day - Added 5g CaCL (a heaping tsp) to 5 gallons of RO water in the mash. Added 1oz Cascade to mash. Ended up with about 7 gallons of wort after sparge, so I decided to do a 90 minute boil. Chilled wort to 190 degrees and added hops to the hop spider at the end of the boil and whirlpooled for 10 minutes before chilling down to 65 degrees. Ended up boiling off more liquid than expected, so my volume into the fermenter was just over 5 gallons. I added the yeast while racking into the All Rounder and used the mix-n-stir after that to provide a little more oxygen.

2/13/2023 - FG=1.010 - Transferred to secondary and saved yeast cake into 4 bottles for the fridge and one quart mason jar to use on a brew today. Slight tropical hop note. Not getting a ton of flavor, but I didn't add too much of a late addition. I plan to try using potentially mash hopping only on the next batch with Saaz or also add some saaz to the whirlpool.
