Notes
2/9/2024 - Brew Day - Mashed for about an hour at 158 degrees, stirring once in the middle. I used just under 2oz of Idaho Gem hops to use those up in the mash. I was going to do a no-boil batch, but when I checked the temp that was supposed to be 179 degrees, it was actually up to 188 degrees due to me not recirculating maybe? I decided to bring it up to a boil for 15-20 minutes, just to reduce any potential for DMS. Boiled 15 minutes, chilled to 175 degrees & added whirlpool hops. Let those recirculate for 15 minutes as the wort naturally chilled. Chilled down to 66 degrees, transferred to brew bucket fermenter & pitched saved Omega Star Party yeast.
**Add 4oz Amoretti Orange Cream extract at kegging & 1 TB of Mexican Vanilla Extract
